2018 harvest is here!

This rare tea comes from Ali Shan Mt. in Taiwan. It was produced from a famous and traditional tea bush varietal: Tieguanyin, commonly used in Anxi, Fujian. When you compare Alishan Tieguanyin to most of the high mountain taiwanese oolongs, you will see tea is more oxidized (40-50%) and quite deep roasted. Here is the reason of such a complex taste and aroma! When you taste this tea, you will experience the notes of well-baked bread, muscovado sugar, caramel and great layers of forest fruits, homemade jams and typical (for Tieguanyin) orchid flavour. Enjoy this tea while supply lasts!

Product Description

Origin: 900 meters above sea level, Ali Shan, Jiayi county, Taiwan

Harvest: April 2018

Roasting: May 2018

Varietal: Tieguanyin 鐵觀音

Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 100 C 5g/100ml.

Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, gently pour the boiling water to the pot.  First infusion should be very short- not more than 15-20 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 5-10 seconds in each next brewing. You can prepare at least 8-10 nice brewings!
