A wonderful tea! Crisp and full-bodied, yet well-balanced!

The 2018 Mannuo Old Tree Sheng Pu-Erh comes from Mannuo in Yunnan, but it was the 8 years of aging under natural conditions in central Taiwan that gave this tea its wonderful fruity and sweet notes.

Flavor profile: dried apricots and raspberries, sweet hints of herbs and wood, raisins, a dry summer forest.

A sweet and clean aftertaste lingers on the tongue long after tasting.

The bitterness is very well-balanced and not overpowering.

What’s important: this tea was produced from relatively old trees growing in natural conditions. SGS testing for residues of over 500 pesticides revealed none whatsoever!!!

Despite of its age tea is very very invigorating, in a good way!

Origin: natural old tree garden in Mannuo, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, Chiny.

Description

Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 100 C 5-7g/100ml.
Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, rinse the tea for 5-10 seconds using boiling water and afterwards pour out all the water from your pot. The process of rinsing tea leaves is often defined as a waking the tea and is very important for quality of next brewings. Main aim of waking the tea is to remove caffeine and eventual pollution from old tea aged for many years. First drinkable infusion should be very short- not more than 10-15 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 5-10-15-20 etc. seconds in each next brewings.
