If we say this tea looks as good as it tastes, you will understand it clearly!

Juicy, refreshing and  very smooth this year white tea where you can find pleasant grassy freshness and amazing notes of citruses with some tangy nuances that remind us well made first flush Darjeeling teas!

This white tea is unique from many reasons: it’s organic, picked in early spring and made from the one of the youngest Taiwanese tea cultivar registered in 2018 under the name Qi Yun and number 23.

Qi Yun cultivar was “created” by crossbreeding several bushes from Qimen (Anhui, maindland China) in Taiwan Tea Research Institute. Obviously it’s the bush made for producing black teas but experiments with white tea production are very satisfying.

Highly recommended!

You can order more than 30g by ordering multiple times 30g x 2 or more.

Well, we don’t have enough big bags for 50g or 100g of such huge and light leaves.

Description

Origin:  Ming Jian, Nantou, Taiwan,

Harvest: end of February 2024

Cultivar/Tree Variety:  Qi Yun, TTES 23

Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 90-100 C 3-4g/100ml. (Please try different temperatures to find the best way for you)

Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, gently pour the hot water to the pot.  First infusion should be short- not more than 40-50 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 15-20 seconds in each next brewing.

This tea is excellent for more casual brewing in the bowl or mug.
