Organic fully shaded Kabuse Shincha produced by cooperation of families Morimoto and Kamimizu in Miyazaki prefecture.
This is the strongest and most full-bodied shincha in our 2026 line-up.
Dry leaves smell excellent: creamy and fruity whilst the infusion bring strong and savory taste! Umami and bitterness are in good balance.
Taste profile: forest, herbs, notes of flowers and steamed vegetables.
Aftertaste is clean, sweet and long lasting.
Really rich in caffeine! Be careful 😉
Tea is originally packed in 50 g vacuum bags without zip-lock
Origin: village of Kawaminami, Koyu district, Miyazaki prefecture, Japan.
Harvest: ichibancha, first flush 2026
Cultivar: blend of Yutaka Midori and Saki Midori
Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 60-70. C. First infusion should be around 50 sec. 2nd and 3rd, please do very short, not longer than 20 sec. In traditional brewing method you can easily use like 5-6g for 100 ml teapot. For more casual brewing 7g for 250 ml is fine.
Great for cold brew!
