I must admit that for years I’ve been looking for an affordable Long Jing tea that would make a great green tea for everyday drinking.

This year, my dream has come true.

Let me introduce you to Long Jing tea from Xiao Shan, an area bordering the oldest Long Jing tea-producing area.

It is in Xiao Shan that the Du family’s natural garden is located – no pesticides or herbicides are used there. In China, this garden is classified as organic.

Interestingly, the bushes of the oldest (and my favourite) cultivar used in the production of Long Jing – Qunti Zhong – grow here!

It is an unpretentious, delicious green tea where fresh grassy notes blend with nutty, caramel and floral notes. You will also notice intetresting umami notes.

Throughout the tasting, the bitterness remains low, and the infusion itself has a superb, rich body. It is full-bodied, sweet and balanced all at once.

Extremely recommended!!!
