One of the best non single tree Dancong we have ever tasted.
This top quality roasted Mi Lan Xiang Dancong (Honey Orchid) was produced from old bushes (more than 90yrs old) growing without chemicals near Li Zai Ping village. Very small batch: we have only around 4kg bag.
Powerful tea with amazing energy! Because of quite high roasting level it’s suitable for long term storage.
Roasted over longan charcoal.
Taste: honey, pine resin, ripe mango and passion fruit with hints of nutty/malty notes.
Description
Origin: Li Zai Ping Village, Wudongshan, Guangdong, China
Harvest: spring 2023
Cultivar/Tree Variety: Mi Lan Xiang- honey orchid (from Shuixian crossbreeding)
Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 100 C 6g/100ml.
Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, gently pour the boiling water to the pot. First infusion should be very short- not more than 10 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 5-10 seconds in each next brewing.
