Very interesting matcha!
Leaves from Chiran, Kagoshima were processed in tea factory in Yame, where i’ts quite common that tencha leaves are gently roasted before grinding.
This od the key to understand why this tea has so rich and warm taste profile.
Taste profile: popcorn, nuts, bitterness of young walnut, roasted seaweed.
Excellent matcha for usucha but it goes well with all coctails based on matcha.
Producer sells this tea as “ceremonial superior” but we are little bit more restrained.
For us it’s just very good matcha for everyday drinking, no matter if you are newbie or experienced matcha consumer.
