Baozhong, grown in a wild garden near Pinglin, is a tea of which we are very proud.
The garden is situated next to the Fei-ts’ui drinking water reservoir, one of the most important in northern Taiwan. It is a crystal-clear area – free from industry and intensive agriculture.
It is worth noting that in this wild garden, the leaves are not harvested every year – the tea bushes need much more time to grow and regenerate after the harvest.
When brewed, the thick, robust leaves release wonderful notes of yellow flowers, which are also evident in the flavour of the infusion.
As well as floral notes, you’ll encounter hints of white grapes, a pinch of mineral bitterness and the freshness of grass.
The aftertaste is particularly noteworthy – it is intensely fruity (white grapes, honeydew) and lingers on the palate for a very long time,

Origin: abandoned wild garden, Pinglin, New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Harvest: May 2026
Tea cultivar Qing Xin oolong
Temperature of water and amount of leaves: 100 C 5-7g/100ml.
Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, gently pour the boiling water to the pot. First infusion should be very short- not more than 20-25 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 5-10 seconds in each next brewing. You can prepare at least 8-10 nice brewings!
