Asahi (あさひ) is a cultivar first bred in Uji, Japan in 1952 by Mr. Hirano Jinnojo. Directly translating to morning sun, Asahi is prized cultivar, especially for matcha production. Asahi is commonly considered a difficult cultivar to farm, offering a medium crop yield, and is usually picked by hand.

Packed in 40g tin – please consume within one month after opening. Before opening, you can keep the tea in the fridge. But before you open the tin, let the tea rest in room temperature for at least 12 hours. After that, keep in room temperature.
