We are impressed by this tea. The taste and aroma profile is unique, very unique!

Natural garden far away from the big cities, old bush cultivar and roasting by awarded specialist. It seems to be the key to understand why this tea is so special.

Beishan Wuyi oolong was roasted quite strong, but leaves are not burnt at all.

Very long process of roasting lasted 48 hours (4 rounds, 12 hour each) using moderate temperatures.

Taste/aroma profile is very multi-layered. You will find here notes of sweet honey and sugarcane, fresh mint, limon and bitter herbs like nettle and thyme!

Empty cup is very fragrant. You can smell sweet and vibrant notes of honey, herbs and forest fruits.

And when you open the bag… dry leaves smell little bit like mojito drink!

Beishan tea is not very well known. Gardens there are quite hard to reach so this area survived in very natural state, undamaged by human. Beishan is not very high-elevation mountain region but slopes are very steep. Tea comes from small garden which cultivates old bush varietal originating from Wuyishan, mainland China.

Excellent tea to enjoy now, but also for long term storage. If you wish to store it, it’s good to keep at least 200g of tea.

Suggested brewing method: Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan of low capacity. First, you should pre-heat empty teapot/gaiwan and tea cups with boiling water. When the teapot is warmed, then you put the tea leaves in. After smelling hot and dry leaves in the pot, gently pour the boiling water to the pot.  First infusion should be very short- not more than 30-40 second. We suggest to increase brewing time for 5-10 seconds in each next brewing. You can prepare at least 8-10 nice brewings!
